dangereusement votre

angereusement votre

Another quicky today
Got in from Paris this evening:
Saturday managed to do a bit of sightseeing (the Eiffel Tower and the Arc,Champs Elysees bought the t-shirts etc).Ended up being persueded to go to the largest shopping centre in europe on sunday(well we end up in Irish shopping centres on a sunday anyway so no change there)
Handy tip by the way , if you're going to spend 40 minutes on the metro going to Val d'Europe , dont do it on Sunday , as its actually closed...(served us right I guess)
Bizzarely enough (since I've very little interest in art)I enjoyed the couple of hours I spent in the Louvre .
Yeah I did do the trek to the Mona Lisa , and yeah it does look like a large brown postage stamp surrounded by japanese tourists, but Its a bit like meeting a celebrity in the flesh , a weird but enjoyable experience .
Plus there on the way to it theres corridor full of these mainly religous themed paintings , some of which totally floored me , ..plus there was about half a floor dedicated to egyptology , which I love and didnt have enough time to really peruse .
Going back for the full day next time
Oh and great fun in the hotel room at night , happily going through beautiful 6 Euro a bottle bordeaux...great for TV fraincais, James Bond in french ,
" Roger Moore stars in "Dangereusement votre " Brillaint , pass us that bottle there..:)"
Oh and the one dissapointment ??
I mentioned here that I had Age of empires on my Pocket PC.
I though to myself , this is my chance to finally get a few hours to finish one or two of the campaigns (on the planes and metro and where-ever).....balls to that !!
I made the mistake of showing my GF ( she complained about being called SO alright! so its GF from now on ), one of the MS minigames installed on the PDA, taipen , a tile based mahjong type game...she loves it.
Loves it so much that she had the PDA for the weekend...
I had it for ten minutes , then the batteries went :(
guess whats shes getting for christmas now..?:)
Anyway back in work tommorrow,so an early night for me ..
still have a couple of bottles of nice vin rouge, I wonder if you can still get TV5 over here??? L'homme avec le pistolet d'or, might be on tonight
